LaLiga: opening an office in Singapore, the fourth of the Spanish League in Asia

LaLiga officially opened an office in the city-state of Singapore, in the presence of Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League, Miguel Angel Navarro Portera, the Spanish ambassador to Singapore and Lay Hoon Chan, the Singaporean chairwoman of Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander), on 23/03/2017.

This office is the fourth opened by LaLiga in an Asian or Middle Eastern country, after those in Beijing (China), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), and New Delhi (India). On other continents outside Europe, the Spanish League is present in Johannesburg (South Africa), New York (United States), and Abuja (Nigeria).

The Singapore office will be headed by Ivan Codina, the former deputy director and head of football activitis at the Dentsu marketing agency. "LaLiga’s objective is to increase its presence and popularity in the region, in particular in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines," said the Spanish League.
