Bundesliga: VfL Wolfsburg open an office in Beijing to develop its brand in China

VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) officially opened an office in Beijing (China) in a ceremony that drew about 150 guests "from the worlds of business, politicss and sport", on 22/03/2017.

VfL Wolfsburg are the first German club to open an office in the Chinese capital, while Bayern Munich opened - on the same day (22/03/2017) - an office in another Chinese metropolis, Shanghai. The office of VfL Wolfsburg in Beijing aims to coordinate all club activities in China, including developing links with its Chinese partners and directing activities related to the training of young local players.

"The opening of our representative offices is a further important milestone in the implementation of our internationalisation strategy. VfL Wolfsburg is already established in China and enjoys a high standing. This is confirmed by our ever-growing fan-base in China, as well as out ever-expanding number of Chinese partners, "said Thomas Röttgermann, general manager of the club.
