LaLiga: Movistar (telecom) becomes "connecting partner" of Real Madrid until 2017-18 (€15m in total)

Movistar, a brand of the Spanish telecommunications group Telefónica, has become the "connecting partner" of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), on 30/03/2017. This partnership, in the 2^nd level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the club, concerns both the football first team of Real Madrid, but also the basketball team, and extends through the end of the 2017-18 season. The overall amount is estimated at €15m for this time period, according to specialised Spanish media.

As part of this partnership, Movistar will enjoys visibility on the LED boards at the Santiago Bernabeu, and on the digital platforms of the club. The brand of the Telefónica group will also fully connect the Santiago Bernabeu via the installation of high-speed wi-fi, according to Spanish media.
