Bundesliga: Software AG, Merck, and Entega extend with SV Darmstadt 98 through 2019-20

The German software and IT solutions company Software AG will continue as a major sponsor and main shirt sponsor of SV Darmstadt 98 (Bundesliga) for two seasons, until 2019-20. Software AG, which had previously extended with SV Darmstadt 98 for three additional seasons on 18/03/2015, pays an estimated €1.8m per year, according to German media. The company, based in Darmstadt (south of Frankfurt, Hesse region), has been a major sponsor of the club since 2008. "Darmstadt is also developing, with its partner, a customer relationship management database for the club," stated the club.

Premium partners Entega (energy) and Merck (science and technology) have also extended their agreements in the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the SV Darmstadt 98, until 2019-20. Both companies are also based in Darmstadt. Merck, which holds the naming rights to the stadium - Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor - and the training centre, has been a sponsor of the club since 2014.
