Serie A: Nike extends its contract with Inter Milan until 2022/23

Nike has extended its sponsorship agreement with Inter Milan (Serie A) until the end of the 2022/23 season, the club announced on the 26/08/2013. The Italian side has been wearing the kits of the American sporting brand since 1997/98.

The deal is estimated at €18.1m per year during ten seasons. The amount of the partnership between Nike and Inter makes it the highest for an Italian club, ahead of AC Milan with Adidas (€14.9m per year until 2017) and Juventus with Nike (€13.1m per year until 2016).

"The deal will take the companies' partnership past the 25-year barrier and set a new benchmark for sports marketing in Italy," said Inter Milan.

"The new sponsorship deal further strengthens Inter's position as one of the world's top clubs and confirms its desire to continue expanding globally. A key driving force will be the realisation of a joint project to open specialised stores, and the rolling out of a new strategy for the development and marketing of Inter-brand merchandise," the Italian club added.
