Facebook: 68.5 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (April 2017)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have a cumulative 68.5 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/04/2016. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular European Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander, and the Serie A TIM, with 3.86 million fans on average per club.

Bayern Munich remain the most-followed the German club, with 41.46 million fans, an increase of 440,857 (+1%) since the beginning of March 2017. Bayern gained the fifth-most number of new Facebook fans of the Top 5 leagues in March 2017, The Bavarian club alone drew 81% of the total number of new fans of all Bundesliga clubs in the past month.

At 2.7% (from 279,631 to 287 250) RB Leipzig are the Bundesliga club which posted best percenrage growth rate on Facebook in March 2017.
