UEFA: Europa League and Champions League finals to be scheduled in the same week from 2019

"The general principle to stage the UEFA Europa League final in the same week as the UEFA Champions League final for the whole 2018-21 cycle was approved. This move was made so that the UEFA Europa League final is played - like the UEFA Champions League final - after the end of the domestic season, "UEFA announced, following the meeting of its Executive Committee at the Scandic Park Hotel in Helsinki (FIN) on 04/04/2017.

"As a consequence, the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League final will be played on Wednesday, 29/05/2019. There will be different venues for the two finals, as is the case at present," added UEFA; the 41^st ordinary Congress takes place in Helsinki on Wednesday, 05/04/2017.
