Polish pay TV operator n+ has acquired the rights to broadcast Italian Serie A in Poland, the subsidiary of French group Canal+ announced on the 22/08/2013. The agreement covers the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.

The group broadcast two matches of the first day of the Italian championship: Sampdoria-Juventus (0-1 on the 24/08/2013) on Canal+ Sport and Inter Milan-Genoa (2-0, on the 25/08/2013) on nSports. The rights secured by n+ also include a magazine devoted to the Serie A, aired on Canal+ Sport.

"More and more Polish players play in the Serie A championship, which has become even more interesting for our audience. We wanted to be able to offer Polish fans to follow the Serie A on n+ channels. I'm glad we did this," said Tomasz Smokowski, director of sports n+.

  • +n will not be the exclusive broadcaster of the Serie A in Poland for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons, as Orange Sport channel also acquired the rights to broadcast a fixture of the Italian championship every weekend for the same period.
