Twitter: 12.66 million followers in total for the 20 Ligue 1 clubs (April 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season have a cumulative total of 12.66 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/04/2017. Ligue 1 thus ranks fourth in Twitter followership among the European Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander, the Premier League, and the Serie A TIM, with 632,833 followers on average per club.

Paris Saint-Germain are the most followed French club, with 4.38 million followers, up 118,745 (+2.1%) compared to the beginning of March 2017. Olympique de Marseille (2^nd, 1.93 million), AS Monaco (3^rd, 1.36 million), and Olympique Lyonnais (4^th, 1.09 million) also have more than one million followers.

At 4.1%, AS Monaco (from 1,300,000 to 1,360,000) are the Ligue 1 club which recorded the best percentage growth on Twitter in March 2017.
