Twitter: 15.55 million followers in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (April 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM have a cumulative total of 15.55 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/04/2017. The Serie A TIM is the third most followed European Top 5 league, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with 777,653 followers on average per club.

AC Milan are the most followed Italian club on Twitter, with 4.56 million followers, an increase of 86,894 (+1.9%) compared to the beginning of March 2017. Juventus are the club which registered the largest gross increase (+116,528). This has allows Juve to close that gap on AC Milan to less than 500,000 followers.

Cagliari Clacio are - for the third consecutive month - which posted the best percentage growth on Twitter. The Sardinian club was 15th in the Serie A on Twitter in January 2017, and are now ranked 12th since March 2017.
