AS Saint-Etienne: sectional turnover in 2015-16 (in €m)

AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 1) posted a turnover (excluding transfers) of €66.9m during the 2016 fiscal year (01/07/2015 - 30/06/2016), up 7.7% compared to 2015 (€62.1m), according to the 2015-16 financial report of the French DNCG financial control body, published on 09/03/2017.

AS Saint-Étienne recorded an operating loss of €10.4m in 2015-16, compared to a loss of €10.8m in 2014-15. However, the Etienne club obtained a positive net result from transfer activities amounting to €13.6m, enabling the club to record a net profit of €1.7m for the 2015-16 season (compared to a net profit, also largely due to transfer activities, of €0.92m in 2014-15).

AS Saint-Etienne finished in 6^th place (58 points) in the 2015-16 Ligue 1 table. The club remained just outside the Top 5 for the second time in five years. The slight increase in the 2015-16 turnover of the club is due to an increase in TV rights during the 2015-16 season, and its participation in the 2015-16 Europa League (eliminated in the Round of 32 by the Swiss cub FC Basel, 4-4 on aggregate, Basel advanced on away goals).
