Coca-Cola has replaced Pepsi as a partner and official soft drink of MLB from 2017 season, announced the league on 03/04/2017. Pepsi, a partner of MLB for "fifteen years", had previously extended, on 02/04/2014, for the 2014-2016 period.

"Coca-Cola will engage with MLB fans utilizing MLB Advanced Media's owned and operated digital platforms including MLB.com, Club web sites, MLB.com At Bat and Ballpark mobile apps, MLB official accounts on a variety of social media platforms and advertising on MLB Network and MLB.tv. Using the MLB.com Ballpark app, Coca-Cola will offer stadium check-in deals, ticket upgrades, and concession promotions for the ballparks of the 18 clubs that it has team partnerships with and stadium pouring rights (see below)," said MLB.

"While there is a lot of shared history between our brands, this partnership is focused on looking forward and connecting Coca-Cola with our fans through digital, mobile and social," said Bob Bowman, MLB president of business and media, on 03/04/2017.
