"I'm currently considering if it's a good thing or not. I have to convince myself that I want to run for FIFA, as I did when I ran for UEFA presidency," said Michel Platini, President of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), on the 28/08/2013.

"I will definitely say something about it in Dubrovnik. I have to because everyone expects me to do so," said Michel Platini, who has been in charge of the presidency of the European body since the 26/01/2007. The next UEFA Executive Committee will be held in the Croatian city on the 19 and 20/09/2013.

Joseph Blatter has been holding FIFA's (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) presidency since 1998. His fourth term as head of the International Federation expires in 2015. "Initially, he said he would stop in 2015. Now he says he will decide what to do in one year in Brazil," said Michel Platini in an interview with French sports daily newspaper L'Équipe on the 28/08/2013.

Michel Platini is currently serving his second four-year term as President of UEFA. It will also come to an end in 2015.
