SuperSport International Ltd. has extended its Premier League broadcast rights for Sub-Saharan Africa (including South Africa) for the 2019-2022 period, stated the League and the South African pay-TV group, on 10/04/2017.

The agreement allows SuperSport to broadcast live all 380 games each season of the Premier League on all its platforms (TV, internet, and mobile). The pay-TV group could pay an estimated £98.6m (€115.5m) per year over the 2016-19 period to broadcast the Premier League.

"SuperSport is proud to have been a partner of the Premier League since its inception 25 years ago (1992-93 season) and we know our customers love this league. We're delighted to continue this partnership for a further five years (2017-2022), as a sign of our commitment to continue to provide our loyal DStv and GOtv customers throughout the continent with the best sporting action from around the world," said Gideon Khobane, CEO of SuperSport, on 10/04/2017.
