beIN Media Group: agreement to combat illegal streaming with the French company TMG

The Qatari audiovisual group beIN Media Group and TMG, a French company specialising in the fight against the illegal distribution of audiovisual content, have created an agreement to combat illegal streaming, on 10/04/2017.

"The global partnership will entail content detection, monitoring, source identification, intelligence gathering, investigations and enforcement. Concrete measures taken by the new partnership will include live content removal, pirate link takedown and ultimately, legal action to close non-compliant websites permanently," stated TMG. This accord follows the agreement between beIN Media Group and Friend MTS, a British company specialising in the protection of audiovisual content, to use its Advanced Subscriber Identification (ASiD) anti-piracy service to protect the beIN Sports OTT chains in the MENA region, on 03/04/2017.
