Bundesliga: Hamburger SV will simulate the G20 summit in its stadium, with 20 classes from the city

Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) has launched an initiative to host a simulated G20 summit in its stadium for 20 classes of students from around the city, announced the club on 21/02/2017. The programme, which will involve over 450 students in the high school grades 9 to 12 sections, is part of the "Schools4Tomorrow" operation of the Foundation of HSV, Der Hambergur Weg. The real world G20 summit takes place in Hamburg (GER) on Friday 07 and Saturday, 08/07/2017.

Each of the 20 member nations of the G20 (list below) has been assigned to a school in Hamburg, which then must defend its positions. A work phase started in March 2017 in each of the participant schools with direction from the Foundation of HSV. The initiative should be completed in late May 2017, to allow a simulation G20 summit on 29 and 30/06/2017 in the Volksparkstadion, the stadium of Hamburger SV (Bundesliga). After this "summit" and debates, each school will have to write its own statement and report to the country represented with its findings.
