LaLiga Santander: Valencia CF to launch an academy in New York (USA), its seventh abroad

Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) will open a football school in New York, its first in the United States, in partnership with Regal Sporting Group, an American company specialising in professional sports solutions, the club announced on 11/04/2017.

This "Academia VCF" will be installed at the facilities of the University of Long Island, a private institution of higher education, which has "many natural grass and indoor football fields to allow training at any time of the year". Valencia CF also announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Long Island so that players aged 6 to 17 years old from the future centre (or training centre in Valencia) can receive scholarships for access to the university.

The Academy will bring together about 200 youth (girls and boys) in the first year, with a programme focused on the sporting development of players and the training of coaches. An annual tournament will also be organised with teams from all over the United States.
