Eredivisie: KPN (telecom) extends its partnership and becomes main sponsor (2017-2021)

KPN, a Dutch telecom operator, has extended its partnership with Eredivisie from "official partner" to "main sponsor" of the Dutch first division, the Dutch League announced on 21/04/2017.

This partnership, in the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Eredivisie, takes effect from 2017-18 and runs for four seasons, until the end of the 2020-21 season. KPN had been an "official partner" of the Eredivisie since 2014.

As part of this partnership, KPN gain visibility on the signage in all Eredivisie stadiums, as well as on the communication platforms of the competition. KPN also obtains screen inlays during the television broadcast of games of the championship.

"The goal is to maximise our cooperation, as KPN has already done as an official partner with the creation of the Goal Alert, a free service, reserved for the Dutch operator's customers, which shows Eredivisie match summaries only one hour after the last game (of the matchday)," said the Dutch League on 21/04/2017.
