Premier League: Umbro to succeed JD Sports as kit supplier to AFC Bournemouth (2017-2022)

The American brand (of British origin) Umbro will succeed the British sports equipment manufacturer JD Sports as the official kit supplier to AFC Bournemouth (Premier League) from the season 2017-18, announced on 26/04/2017. The contract covers a period of five seasons, until the end of the 2021-22 season.

As part of this partnership, Umbro will equip all AFC Bournemouth teams with matchday and training kits. The annual amount has not been announced, but it is the "biggest equipment supplier contract in the history of the club", said AFC Bournemouth. JD Sports has been the official supplier to the English club since the 2014-15 season, via its Cabrini brandat first, then via the JD Sports brand from 2015-16.

Umbro has previously been the AFC Bournemouth equipment supplier in the past, during the 1974-1978 and 1983-1986 periods. Umbro equips three Premier League clubs in 2016-17: West Ham United FC, Everton FC, and Hull City AFC.
