Germany: Deutsche Telekom acquires TV rights to the 380 games per year of the 3.Liga for 2017-18

The German telecom operator Deutsche Telekom AG acquired, via licencing from the marketing and media rights agency SportA (owned by the German public audiovisual groups ARD and ZDF), the broadcasting rights to the 3.Liga for the 2017-18 season, on 21/04/2017. ARD broadcasts all 3.Liga matches for the 2016-17 season in streaming via the sportchau.de website.

Deutsche Telekom will offer all of 380 games of the German third division via a specific broadcasting platform, similar to the ones proposed for the German ice hockey first division (Deutsche Eishockey-Liga) and for the German basketball first division (easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga). It will cost €119.40 per year with a subscription, or €16.95 per month without obligation to access the matches of the 3.Liga.
