The British sports betting operator Ladbrokes will extend its title partnership with the SPFL, British media reported on 27/04/2017. The new first level contract in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Scottish Professional Football League would now extend until the end of the 2017-18 season, with an option for an additional year, and an estimated annual amount is more than £2m (€2.35m on 28/04/2017).

Ladbrokes has been the title partner of the first four Scottish divisions since the 2015-16 season for an estimated annual amount of £2m. As part of the extension of partnership, Ladbrokes would retain the naming rights to the first four Scottish divisions. The extension of the contract would have been ratified by all 42 Scottish clubs in the first four divisions (12 in the Premiership, and 10 in each of the three lower divisions), according to British media.
