Serie A: Fiorucci food group becomes Catania's main shirt sponsor for 6 months

Italian food brand Fiorucci has become the new shirt sponsor of Catania (Serie A), the club announced on the 30/08/2013. The agreement covers a six-months period, but a clause in the contract enables the extension of the partnership until the end of 2013/14 season, particularly in case of good sports results.

"This is a dynamic agreement. We begin to know each other and we will see where we are going. The agreement is valid for the first six months of the season, with the possibility of later extending it to all the season, "said Antonino Pulvirenti, chairman of Calcio Catania.

"We are delighted to return to the football world after twenty years of absence (contract with Inter Milan). We will be present in the hospitality areas with a Fiorucci products stand. We will also create a special stand dedicated to hot dogs that will be prepared on site," said Fiorucci's vice president.

The club was supported by Arancia Rossa di Sicilia, the red orange of Sicily producers association in 2012/13. The logo of the association was present on the front of Catania's shirt during the whole season.
