Matchday 36 of the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season drew an average attendance of 28,585 spectators per game (average stadium fill rate of 76%) from 05 to 07/05/2017. This is a record high for a matchday of the 2016-17 season. The average attendance of the French league is currently 20,907 fans per game on the season (average fill rate: 69%).

Olympique de Marseille - OGC Nice (2-1) drew the top mark of the weekend, with 61,685 spectators at the Orange Velodrome (94% fill rate). This match is the second best attendance of the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season, all clubs included, behind the Olympique de Marseille - Paris Saint-Germain match (1-5, 65,252 spectators, Matchday 27).

Four games of Matchday 36 drew more than 30,000 spectators, and four games out of 10 recorded a stadium fill rate of more than 90%.
