Facebook: European Top 100 clubs with the most fans (May 2017)

With 101.86 million fans, Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) are the European club with the most fans on Facebook, according to the data compiled by News Tank Football, which establishes a Top 100 list of the most popular European clubs on this social network as of 01/05/2017.

In April 2017, Manchester City FC became the eleventh club to pass the 24 million fans mark (from 23,712,734 to 24,334,615). Since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, the number of Manchester City Facebook fans has increased by 13%, the best percentage growth of the clubs in the Facebook Top 20.

The three Turkish clubs of Istanbul, Galatasaray SK (14^th, 13.24 million fans), Fenerbahçe SK (15^th, 9.9 million), and Besiktaş JK (20^th, 6.04 million) are the only ones in the Top 20 which do compete in one of the European Top 5 leagues.

12 European clubs have more than 14 million fans on Facebook, 35 are over 2 million, 49 are over 1 million, and 67 have more than 500,000 fans.
