Facebook: 75.77 million fans in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (May 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative total of 75.77 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/05/2017. The Serie A TIM is the third most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander, with an average of 3.79 million fans per club.

Juventus are the most followed Italian club, with 25.94 million fans, up 564,176 (+2.2%) from April 2017. No other Serie A club has drew more fans than Juve during the past month.

By climbing over 100,000 fans, FC Crotone (99,688 to 101,522 fans) and Empoli FC (98,774 to 100,597 fans) have allowed the Serie A to become the third Top 5 league where all clubs count more than 100,000 fans on Facebook, after the Premier League and Ligue 1.

16 Serie A clubs drew fewer than 5,000 new fans in April 2017, the month in which the Italian top division was the one of the Top 5 leagues whose clubs drew the lowest number of new fans (600,973 in total).
