Facebook: 46.46 million fans in total for the 20 Ligue 1 clubs (May 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season have a cumulative total of 46.46 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to the data complied by News Tank Football on 01/05/2017. Ligue 1 is least followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, with an average of 2.32 million fans per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remain the French club with the most Facebook fans (28.37 million), an increase of 440,537 compared to the beginning of April 2017. The Parisian club are in eighth place among clubs of the European Top 5 leagues, after Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Paris Saint-Germain alone comprises 61% of all the Facebook fans of Ligue 1 clubs; no other club of the Top 5 leagues dominates its domestic market on Facebook in this manner. In April 2017, PSG drew 71% of the total number of new fans Ligue 1 of Ligue 1 clubs.
