Champions League: Modern Times Group extends TV rights 2018-2021 in Scandinavia

MTG (Modern Times Group) has extended its rights to broadcast the Champions League for the 2018-2021 period in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, said the Swedish audiovisual group on 09/05/2017. MTG has held the TV rights to the Champions League in these three Nordic countries since 1992.

"MTG has secured the rights on an exclusive basis in Sweden and Denmark, and has secured the rights to 108 of the games on an exclusive basis in Norway and will also show the rest of the games," the group said. TV2, a Norwegian free-TV and pay-TV and audiovisual group, has acquired, via sub-license from MTG, the broadcasting rights in Norway for two games per round of the competition, as well as the Champions League final for the 2018-2021 period.
