Moses Magogo has been appointed FUFA chairman (Uganda Football Federation) with 92.3% of the vote, 68 out of 72 voters on the 31/08/2013. The computer engineer by training takes over Lawrence Mulindwa, in office since 2005, who declined to seek re-election. Moses Magogo will chair the federation until 2017. Former FUFA vice president, he was the only candidate for the position.

Leodegar Tenga, a member of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), President of the CECAFA (Council of Football Associations of East Africa and Central Africa) and chairman of the executive committee of the Tanzania Football Federation, was present at the election.

Uganda is 77th in FIFA's rankings on the 03/09/2013.
