Rugby: Land Rover (automobiles) becomes a worldwide partner of the 2019 Rugby World Cup

The British automobile brand Land Rover has becomes a worldwide partner (first level) and official car of the 2019 Rugby World Cup (hosted in Japan, from 20/09 to 02/11/2019) on 03/05/2017. Land Rover already had the same status during the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cup events, the latter being held in England and Wales.

Land Rover's new partnership is extended to other World Rugby competitions and events: the 2017 Irish Women's World Cup, the U-20 World Championship between 2017 and 2019, and the World Rugby Awards ceremonies in 2017 and 2018 in Monaco, of which the brand becomes official sponsor.

"The award-winning ‘We Deal In Real’ campaign for 2015 put grassroots rugby at the heart of Land Rover’s global marketing campaign and a bespoke Defender was created to transport the iconic Webb Ellis Cup on its domestic trophy tour and during the tournament," stated World Rugby.
