"We are rebuilding the reputation of FIFA after everything that has happened, and I will not accept lessons from good governance from people who have failed to protect football and FIFA. The new FIFA is a democracy, not a dictatorship. The new FIFA is a transparent organisation," said Gianni Infantino, president of the international federation, in front of the Congress held in Manama (Bahrain) on 11/05/2017.

"Experts in the past have been handsomely paid to reform FIFA, but what have they done? They simply validated a system that did not work, and I can not rule out new cases, but they will not affect the administration of FIFA, thanks to the mechanisms we have put in place," added Gianni Infantino.
