Premier League: Chang (beer) will cease to be Everton's shirt sponsor at the end of 2016-17

On 09/05/2017, Everton FC (Premier League) officialised the end of its main shirt sponsorship contract with the Thai beer brand Chang at the end of the 2016-17 season. Chang, a Thai beer brand from Thaibev, has been a major partner and Everton's main shirt sponsor since the 2004-05 season, with an annual amount estimated at £5.3m (€6.3m on 10/05/2017) in 2016-17.

Chang will nevertheless continue its collaboration with the English club by becoming its "community" partner for the 2017-2020 period. As part of this partnership, "the agreement will see the continuation of the friendship between the club and Chang through a series of community programmes and initiatives in both Thailand and Merseyside. Activities will include football coaching trips to and from Thailand and further development of the Chang Junior Cup; a national junior competition to assist grassroots development for Thai players and coaches. The partnership will also continue to support the work of the Thaibev Academy in Bangkok in developing young footballing talent in Thailand," indicated the Liverpool-based club.
