FIFA gets new elections of leaders of Benin Federation

FBF (Benin Football Federation) will organize a new election of its executive office, on the 09/12/2013, at the request of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). The first electoral ballot, held in Porto Novo, gave victory to Augustin Ahouenvoebla and his "Revival of Football" list, with 24 votes out of 47 votes against 23 for his opponent Bruno Didavi and his "Renewal" list, on the 24/08/2013. The latter filed a complaint with the Election Commission on the 28/08/2013, considering that his opponent did not get 50% + 1 of the votes validly cast.

After an exchange of letters between FIFA and Augustin Ahouenvoebla, FBF announced that new elections would be held on the 12/09/2013. The ballot will be observed by FIFA and CAF (Confederation of African Football).
