Switzerland: Martin Blaser appointed managing director of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment

Martin Blaser, 49 years old, has been appointed the managing director of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland, a joint venture between the Swiss media rights and marketing agency Infront Sports & Media and the Swiss media group Ringier, on 08/05/2017. He succeeds the Swiss Gian Gilli, the managing director since 16/11/2015, who took over from Armin Meier, the former professional cyclist who left InfrontRingier on 09/09/2015.

Martin Blaser is under the leadership of Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier and chairman of the board of InfrontRingier. Martin Blaser has also held the position of marketing, sales, and business development manager of FC Basel (Raiffeisen Super League) since June 2013.

• Gian Gilli, who was replaced by Martin Blaser as managing director of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland, is now the full-time (as opposed to 20% of his time previously) secretary general of the 2020 World Hockey Championships in Switzerland.
