Matchday 37 of the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season drew an average attendance of 22,409 spectators per game (average stadium fill rate of 77%), on 14/05/2017. The average attendance of the French league is currently 20,962 fans per game in 2016-17 (average fill rate: 69%).

Girondins de Bordeaux - Olympique de Marseille (1-1) drew the best figure of the weekend, with 41,625 spectators at the Matmut Atlantique (98% fill rate). This match is a record attendance mark for a Girondins de Bordeaux at the Matmut Atlantique stadium.

The SC Bastia - FC Lorient (2-0) match was played behind closed doors at the Stade Parsemain (near Martigues, west of Marseille). SC Bastia have been suspended from playing matches in their home stadium after the incidents during the game against Olympique Lyonnais (Matchday 33 of Ligue 1), which forced the abandonment of the fixture. Taking into account this closed doors match, the average attendance of the Matchday 35 of Ligue 1 goes down to 20,168 spectators per game.
