Rugby: French bank Société Générale becomes a global partner of the 2019 World Cup

The French bank Société Générale has become one of the global partners (first level) and the official bank of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, on 09/05/2017. Société Générale has been a partner of the Rugby World Cup since the second edition in 1991.

"Societe Generale is thus associating its name with the third biggest sporting event in the world. The Rugby World Cup is followed by an average of more than 4 billion viewers globally," said the French bank. "This partnership reinforces a long-standing commitment to rugby and demonstrates the group’s forward-looking ambition to be a supporter of all forms of rugby, all around the world," said Frédéric Oudéa, chief executive of Societe Generale.
