Media: May TV to acquire the rights to broadcast the 2014 World Cup in Fiji

Fijian free-to-air television channel May TV has acquired the broadcast rights in Fiji, FOR the 2014 World Cup, corroborative sources announced, on the 03/09/2013.

The TV channel acquired the rights from Click Pacific, the company based in Papua New Guinea and specialized in TV rights management and audiovisual production. The latter obtained the distribution rights to the competition in 12 regions of the Pacific Islands, on the 28/08/2013.

The contract also includes the broadcast rights for other FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) competitions: 2013 Beach Soccer World Cup (from the 18/09 to the 28/09/2013 in Tahiti), U17 World Cup (United Arab Emirates, from the 17/10 to the 08/11/2013) and Women's U17 World Cup (Costa Rica, from the 15/03 to the 04/05/2014) and the Women's U20 World Cup (Canada, from the 05/08 to the 24/08/2014).
