Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) has announced an increase of the capacity of its future stadium from 61,000 to 61,559 seats, following an agreement reached with the Haringey City Council, the Greater London district where White Hart Lane is located, on 05/05/2017.

"Improved seating layout design has meant that we have been able to increase seating in several areas of the stadium. The biggest gain will be in the single-tier South stand, which will now be able to accommodate 17,500 spectators, an increase of 500," said the club.

The future Tottenham stadium will be London's biggest, ahead of Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium (60,260 seats). It will also be the second-largest Premier League stadium behind Manchester United's Old Trafford (75,643 seats).
