NBA: Goodyear (tyres) to become jersey sponsor of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2017-18

The American tyre group Goodyear will become the jersey sponsor of the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) from the 2017-18 season, announced the American basketball franchise on 15/05/2017. The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the annual amount is estimated to be between $7m to $10m (between €6.3m and €9m on 16/05/2017), according to US specialised media.

It is a "multiyear sponsorship agreement," said the franchise. The Cleveland Cavaliers will become the 6^th NBA franchise to conclude a jersey sponsorship partnership, authorised by the professional league of North American basketball on 15/04/2016, with effect from the 2017-18 season.

As part of this partnership, the Goodyear logo will appear on a patch on the chest of the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey from the 2017-18 season.
