Ligue 1: Paris Saint-Germain Foundation raises €660,000 at its annual gala evening

€660,000 was raised during the auction at the annual Paris Saint-Germain Foundation gala, which was attended by more than 400 guests, in the presence of Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) and players of the club, at the Parc des Princes in Paris (FRA) on 16/05/2017.

Sixteen items were sold at the auction, which was conducted by the French auction house Artcurial. The money raised, donated to the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, will be used to finance programmes which help sick children or those in social difficulty.

"The evening highlighted the fantastic work carried out by the Children's Foundation for the past 17 years. In the 2016-17 season, more than 20,000 children benefited from the Foundation's actions, at the École Rouge & Bleu in the 19^th arrondissement of Paris, and its new programme "Soirées de Rêve" ("Evening of your Dreams), which offers sick children throughout the year a chance to rub shoulders with their idols at the Parc des Princes and at the Ooredoo Training Centre," said the club.
