Matchday 34, the final matchday of the 2016-17 Bundesliga season, drew an average of 52,149 spectators per game (97% average fill rate) on 20/05/2017, the best mark for a Bundesliga matchday in terms of attendance this season. The average attendance of the German league reached 41,492 spectators per game in 2016-17 (average fill rate: 94%).

Borussia Dortmund - Werder Bremen (4-3) posted the best figure for Matchday 34, with 81,360 spectators at the Signal Iduna Park (sold out). 12 of the 17 Borussia Dortmund home games of the 2016-17 season were sold out.

Seven out of nine games drew more than 50,000 spectators during Matchday 34, and seven matches were also sold out.

  • The 18 Bundesliga clubs recorded an average attendance of 43,325 spectators per game in 2015-16.
    • Average stadium fill rate: 93%.
