The 2016-17 Europa League final, AFC Ajax (Eredivisie) - Manchester United FC (Premier League), at the Friends Arena (50,000 capacity) in Stockholm (SWE) on Wednesday, 24/05/2017 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), will not be broadcast on free-TV in Spain, unlike the other four Top 5 European countries (see below), due to the lack of the event's inclusion in the list of events of general interest (contained in Article 20 of the Spanish General Law on audiovisual communication, in force since June 2010), which must be accessible free-to-air.

In Spain, the final is broadcast exclusively by the pay-TV beIN Sports channel, a joint venture between Mediapro and the Qatari audiovisual group beIN Media Group. These channels are distributed in Spain by Spanish telecom operators, including Telefonica (Movistar+), Vodafone, Telecable, Deion Telecomunicaciones, and Orange, and are available via the beIN Media Group's OTT platform, beIN Connect, and via TotalChannel, the OTT platform of Mediapro.
