Terrorism: Chelsea cancel victory parade, and Arsenal drop plan to show FA Cup final at Emirates

Chelsea FC (Premier League) has cancelled its parade, which was scheduled in the streets of London on Sunday, 28/05/2017, to celebrate its 2016-17 Premier League title, announced the club on 24/05/2017. This decision follows the terrorist attack which left 22 dead and 59 injured in Manchester at the end of the concert by the American performing artist Ariana Grande at the Manchester Arena, on 22/05/2017. Chelsea will make a donation to help the victims of this attack.

Meanwhile, the 2016-17 Emirates FA Cup final between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC at Wembley Stadium (90,000 capacity) on Saturday, 27/05/2017, will not be broadcast live on a giant screen at the Emirates Stadium (60,260 capacity) as planned, announced Arsenal (Premier League) on 24/05/2017. "Should the team win Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley, we can also confirm that a victory parade will not take place," added the club.
