Premier League: AIA (insurance) extends shirt sponsorship of Tottenham Hotspur until 2021-22

The Hong Kong insurance company AIA, a major partner and main shirt sponsor of Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League), has extended its partnership for another three years, announced the club on 25/05/2017. This contract, in the first level of the club's sponsorship hierarchy, will extend until the end of 2021-22 season, for an estimated amount of more than £16m per season (€18.3m on 26/05/2017) according to British media.

AIA has been the shirt sponsor of Tottenham Hotspur since 2013-14, only for the cup competitons in the first season, then for all competitions since 2014-15. The initial contract was supposed to end at the end of the 2018-19 season, for an estimated annual amount of £16m per season. "This long-term relationship goes beyond the pitch and reflects the shared commitment of the Club and AIA in promoting the role of sport in Asia-Pacific as a key element of healthy living," added the London club.
