Sky Bet Championship: Italian Andrea Radrizzani becomes 100% owner of Leeds United FC

The Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani, who was already a 50% shareholder of Leeds United FC (Sky Bet Championship), has bought the remaining shares and thus becomes the sole owner of the club, announced Leeds United on 23/05/2017. This acquisition was made via the investment company Greenfield Investment Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Aser Group Holding, owned by the Italian entrepreneur.

Massimo Cellino had held all shares, which he previously acquired in two stages (75% in January 2014, and the remaining 25% on 09/09/2016), until 04/01/2017, when Andrea Radrizzani became the owner of 50% of the club's shares. An option to buy all the shares before the end of the 2016-17 season, if Leeds United remained in the Sky Bet Championship, was then activated, according to the English press.
