FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) - Deportivo Alavés (LaLiga Santander), 3-1, the 2016-17 final of the Copa del Rey at the Estadio Vicente Calderón (Madrid, 54,900 capacity) in Spain, and broadcast live in Spain by Telecinco, allowed the free-TV channel to draw 5,523,000 viewers on average during the match (kick-off at 21:30 CET) on Saturday, 27/05/2017.

This figure represented an audience share of 36.2%, and allowed Telecinco to achieve the best performance in the Spanish television market for the entire day. However, this was the lowest audience share for a Copa del Rey final since 2005 and the second consecutive audience share below the 40% mark (see below), after the 2015-16 Copa del Rey final, FC Barcelona - Sevilla FC (2 -0, a.e.t.), which had an audience share of 39.8% on Telecinco, on Saturday, 22/05/2016 (kick-off at 21:30 CET).

This is also the lowest audience for a Copa del Rey final since 2006-07, when Sevilla FC - Getafe CF (1-0) drew only 4.41 million viewers on average on Telecinco (audience share: 41.5 %), on 23/06/2007.
