Serie A TIM: total floor price of €1bn for the lots of the 2018-2021 domestic TV rights tender

The cumulative sum of the floor prices for all five exclusive lots (A, B, C1, C2, and D) is €1bn, according to the tender for the centralised sale of the domestic TV rights to the Serie A TIM for the 2018- 2021 cycle, indicates the tender document published by the Lega Serie A on 26/05/2017.

The call for bids, which includes at least one lot per broadcast mode and platform (satellite, DTT, and digital) and a lot valid for all these platforms (Lot D), "does not allow for a single operator to acquire all the live broadcasting rights to more than two platforms." Lots A and B include the same 248 matches of the eight Serie A TIM clubs, defined by the league according to audience criteria, for satellite and DTT broadcasting respectively. Lots C1 and C2, each with 140 matches, are dedicated exclusively for broadcasting via digital and mobile platforms.
