LaLiga Santander is third among the European Top 5 leagues, behind the Bundesliga (41,492 spectators per game) and the Premier League (35,819).

With an average of 78,504 spectators per game at Camp Nou (99,354 capacity, 79% fill rate), FC Barcelona are the Spanish club with the highest attendance in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander. For the fourth consecutive season, Barça finished second in the European Top 5, behind Borussia Dortmund (79,653 spectators at the 81,360-seater Signal Iduna Park, representing a 98% fill rate).
