The FIGC and the audit and consulting firm PwC have published the "Calcio 2017" report on 30/05/2017. This document (available in both Italian and English) presents the system of governance of the Italian professional football, as well as its revenues and finances, and also provides the figures for amateur football.

The Italian professional football leagues (Serie A TIM, Serie B ConTe.it, and the Lega Pro) have generated a cumulative €2.858bn in turnover in 2015-16, an increase of 8.9% from 2014-15 (€2.625bn). The cumulative expenditure of Italian professional football amounted to €3.144bn in 2015-16, an increase of 2.1% (€3.078bn in 2014-15). The cumulative net loss of Italian professional football clubs reached a deficit of €372m in 2015-16, a decrease of 30.6% compared with 2014-15 (deficit of €536m).

The cumulative debt of Italian professional football clubs increased from €3.386bn at the end of the 2014-15 season, to €3.504bn (+6.1%) at the end of 2015-16.
