The 20 Serie A TIM clubs recorded an average of 22,225 spectators per game during the 2016-17 season, an increase of 70 spectators per game on average (+0.3%) compared with the 2015-16 season (22,155 spectators per game). The Serie A TIM remains in fourth place of the European Top 5 leagues in attendance in 2016-17, ahead of Ligue 1 (21,208 spectators per game).

With an average of 46,620 spectators per game for Serie A TIM matches at the San Siro (78,328 capacity), FC Internazionale Milano are the Italian club with the highest attendance in 2016-17. The club have added an additional 8,720 spectators per game on average (+23.7%) compared to two years ago, the 2014-15 season, and an increase of 630 spectators per game (+1.4%) from 2015-16 to 2016-17.
