Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) - Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), the 2016-17 Women's Champions League final (0-0, 7-6 on penalties) at the Cardiff City Stadium (33,000 capacity) in Cardiff (Wales), drew 2.68 million viewers on average on the public, free-TV channel France 2, on Thursday 01/06/2017 (kick-off at 19:45 BST / 20.45 CET).

This figure represented an audience share of 13%, and allowed France 2 to have the second best performance in the French TV market for prime time on 01/06/2017.

The 2015-16 Women's Champions League final, which was won by Olympique Lyonnais (0-0, 4-3 on penalties) against VfL Wolfsburg (GER), drew 1.35 million viewers on average on France 2 on Thursday 26/05/2016 (kick-off at 18:00 CET). The game then switched to France 3 (to allow the broadcast of the news on France 2 at 20:00), just before extra-time and had a peak audience of 4.7 million viewers when Lyon were victorious on penalties.

  • The pay-TV channel Eurosport 2, which also broadcast the 2016-17 final, did not disclose its audience figures.
